The X-Ray Shoulder – Axial View is a specialized diagnostic imaging test used to examine the shoulder joint from an axial (top-down or cross-sectional) angle. This view provides detailed information about the alignment of the shoulder bones, especially the relationship between the humeral head and the shoulder socket (glenoid cavity).
It is commonly recommended in cases of shoulder dislocation, trauma, instability, or suspected fractures that may not be clearly visible in routine AP or lateral views.
